Close the Browser - Close the browser window or windows entirely.
Get Help from a Trusted Source: Never call the number, or click the link in the pop-up window. Those are the scammers!
Don’t Give Remote Access to Your Computer: Have someone step you through a technical issue, but don’t give out remote access to your computer unless you absolutely, positively trust the person.

Keep your web browsers up to date - you can do this manually, or set up your browser to automatically update to make sure you stay protected.
Disable Pop-ups - go to the Help screen on your web browser, and type in “Stop pop ups” - follow the directions.
